Moisture prevention using insulation drain plugs is one of the best solutions for corrosion control. Bellis believes in preventative maintenance when it comes to corrosion issues, it's best to spot the problem in its early stages before it gets out of hand.

The way to do this is to use insulation drain plugs, wherein holes will be made every 3 metres on an insulating pipe. These must be installed at a 6 o'clock position so that there will be no remnants of moisture or liquid once the pipe is drained. This is a far better solution than having to open up an entire insulation pipe system.

When water or moisture is left inside a pipe this can lead to corrosion. Once it takes over the entire system, it will be a costly repair. Or worse, the entire system may need to be replaced. Adding insulation drain plugs is a small price to pay for preventive maintenance.

Bellis offers drain plugs that are made out of an all-weather and self-extinguishing Bergamid B700 UF Black. This tough drain plug can be broken off to your desired length. As a rule of thumb, the length of the insulation thickness subtracted by 10mm is the ideal length for the insulation plug.
